Proper Storage = Maximum Results
Research peptides are sensitive biological compounds. How you store and handle them directly impacts their potency and your results. Follow these guidelines to get the most from your peptides.
Before Reconstitution (Lyophilized Powder)
- Store in the refrigerator (2-8°C / 36-46°F) — this is ideal
- Can be stored at room temperature for short periods (up to 30 days)
- Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources
- Shelf life: Up to 24 months refrigerated, 3-6 months at room temperature
After Reconstitution (Mixed with BAC Water)
- Must be refrigerated immediately after mixing
- Use within 28-30 days for optimal potency
- Never freeze reconstituted peptides
- Keep vials upright to prevent contamination at the stopper
Reconstitution Best Practices
- Wipe the vial stopper with an alcohol swab
- Draw bacteriostatic water slowly into an insulin syringe
- Inject the water down the side of the vial — never spray directly onto the powder
- Gently swirl (don't shake!) until fully dissolved
- Allow 5-10 minutes if not fully dissolved — a second gentle swirl is fine
Travel Tips
- Use an insulated cooler bag with ice packs for travel
- TSA allows injectable medications with proper labeling
- Never leave peptides in a hot car — even 30 minutes can degrade potency
- For air travel, keep peptides in your carry-on, not checked luggage
Signs Your Peptide May Be Degraded
- Cloudy or discolored solution (should be clear)
- Particles floating in the solution
- Unusual odor
- Reduced efficacy after several weeks of use
